I've lots of catching up to do here. Die So Fluid on Friday night, Julian Cope on Saturday night, Client last night... I'll write about them all later as I'm a bit busy right now.
Until then, I'll leave you with the following that I overheard at Oxford station this morning, a female teacher addressing a group of small children on a school trip:
"...and we'll have lunch at lunchtime..."
Always the best time to have it, I always find. (Oh well, it amused me anyway).

Once again I haven't posted... Sorry, I just don't seem to have the time at the moment, and am off to bed in a min, so can't say much now.
I've been meaning to post some stuff about France - I can't believe I've been home now for a whole week! Perhaps I'll just post some photographs and let the pictures do the talking.
Anyway, I've got a busy weekend planned, but I'll try to grab a little time to write.
Next week on this blog I'm going to start a new serial project thingy, which should be a goodie. Look out for that!
Ta-ra for now, time for the ol' beauty sleep (and at my age I need it).

A couple of pics 'cos I'm too tired to write anything. Firstly this is me on Saturday just gone (startled rabbit look... self portraits are tricky!):
Whoops! Sorry... I said back on Thursday that I'd write more "tomorrow" and I never did. I don't know what's gotten into me. Perhaps it's a long recovery from all that travelling at the end of my hols? Or perhaps I just wanted to continue lazing about as long as possible before getting back to the grind, although "back to the grind" should really refer to work as in employment type work and not things like the blog which of course is no chore at all (!), but mentally I must've have been filing the two away in the same compartment. (By the way, I'm back at the office today - Boo! Hiss!).
Since I've been home I've been quite good actually. I've been to the gym not once, but TWICE (Friday and Sunday). It was quite difficult on Friday as I hadn't exercised for over two weeks. Other than swimming that is. I think I was getting back into the swing of things on Sunday, but Sunday night ended up with very achey joints.
Saturday I got a new pair of shoes from Next. They're very nice - sort of brogue-ish but with stiletto heels and peep toes. Very sexy actually. Naturally, I had to try them out properly so I got myself all dolled up on Saturday night so I could see what the complete look was like. I was much happier with my femme appearance than I have been for a LONG time. I even found quite a decent wig, so it didn't look like I was having a bad hair day. I also partook of a glass or two of some caramel flavoured vodka that I'd brought back from France. Quite bizarre, but not unpleasant.
I will tell you more about the holiday later. This was actually supposed to be just a quick post to apologise for being a bit slow.

Holidays!!!
I've had a busy morning trying to get all my bits and pieces together and to make the house presentable for when Mum and Dad arrive (which could be any minute now!). I've been out to the shops and bought one or two last minute items that I'll need and I've even been to the gym for that final exercise session before the holiday.
I'll speak to you all again in two weeks time. Toodle-pip! (And big thanks to Julius for telling me how to protect my pictures from Google Image Search!)
What with the Bank Holiday Monday that's just been, I'm only doing two day's at work this week. Today of which is the second. Hurrah! Tomorrow my Mum and Dad are coming over in the afternoon, and I have to pack my bags and on Friday we are all off to France.
Before all that though, I've got the traumatic job of taking the cat to the vet. Not that he's ill or anything, he's just got these nasty scabs on his back and I think it might be an allergy. He's about due for his anti-flea treatment, but I want the vet to see him first because I think it might be the anti-flea stuff that he's allergic to.
At least my Dad will be able to take us to the vet's and I won't have to worry about taxis.
Anyway... holidays! As I said, holiday time is approaching. I'm not too sure of where we're going in France. The middle bit, I think. The Beaujolais (spelling?) region. I'm going to take a whole pile of books and a travel guitar and I'm going to relax. Sounds good to me!
